Fonts & Typeface

Fonts come in families, e.g Arial: condensed, bold, rounded, etc. Different fonts have different connotations (associated meanings) that relate to a genre & target audience. Fonts can give impressions and fit for specific purposes. For example, fonts such as 'Comic Sans' is more fitting for children due to its simplistic and child-like appearance.   Typeface - Bold, condensed, underline, italics, 3D, strike through, etc.                                                         The Times: The Times has a 'Times New Roman' font throughout its papers.  This font suggests formality, professionalism, importance and seriousness.  This can give an impression that the content is reliable, truthful & believable - related to academia.  The font in The Times has weight & cr...

Composition

Photographs that stand out usually have 3 elements in common: Good subject Good lighting  Good composition  Rule Of Thirds: Centre of interest - Photo's should have a strong focal point Simplicity - Keep compositions simple, avoid busy backgrounds that distract form a subject Subject of centre - Place a subject slightly off centre rather than in the middle of a photo Leading Lines: If a scene has strong lines, they should lead the viewers eyes into the photo rather that out of it - the lines should lead to the main point of interest. Viewpoint/Angles: Vary angles - Shoot at varying angles to capture the subject from a different viewpoint Bird's eye - High angle Worm eye - Low angle Lighting: Dramatic lighting adds interest to a photo Silhouettes - subjects made dark by a photograph against a light background   Framing: Framing an subject by moving closer draws attention. Moodboard: Hip-Hop/R&B

I have created this mood-board including both well known and upcoming artists from the mid 90s to present day. All of the artists within this mood-board fall within the hip-hop and R&B genre of music. This mood-board includes modern artists such as SZA and Princess Nokia who are part of influential movements within the music industry. Their music aims to eliminate cultural diversity and encourage people of different ethnic backgrounds to be proud of their culture. It also includes artists from previous times, such as NAS and Biggie Smalls who have influenced hip-hop culture from when they first started, and still continue to. They address issues in their music involving racial hate and rough upbringings. All of these artists influence people using their lyrics

For example, the news will provide viewers with information about what is happening around the world.
